Dizengof Goes Beyond Hummus With a Three-Course Feast

If you can't make the trip to Philadelphia to try Zahav restaurant, Michael Solomonov and Steven Cook's take on modern Israeli cuisine, the New York location of their hummusiya, Dizengoff, has begun offering a three-course dinner reminiscent of Zahav's fare as was first reported in Eater.

For $45, diners can partake on a changing (non-kosher) menu that will begin with hummus, freshly baked pita, and salatim (small salads), that will be followed by a main course which might be lamb shanks braised with Moroccan spices and borlotti beans, or slow roasted short ribs with coffee and Yemenite spices, and will end with dessert. Israeli wine, beer, and several cocktails are available to accompany the meal. The family-style dinner, which is served at the Dizengoff counter at Chelsea Market, starts at 7:30pm every Thursday and Friday night and advance tickets for dinner are available on Dizengoff's website
